When we chose Spark what we really wanted to communicate was our desire to help transform our clients businesses. Other names we considered were 'Invigorate', 'Catalyst' and 'Ignition'.

We also wanted to emphasise how we feel about our client relationships. We recognise that our clients often have all or part of the solution already. Our role is to draw out the answers you already have, supply the missing links where necessary and to present the solutions back to you.

We discarded names like "Invigorate" and "Ignition" as being too independent. A "Spark" on it`s own exists for a fraction of a second before it dies out. However, when you put a spark together with fuel it's a powerful force; it makes a car start (or not, if it`s absent), can provide light and warmth and send rockets into space.

We also wanted our name to convey a human feel. Not a giant corporation but a business that values relationships. We do what we do because we enjoy coming alongside our clients and helping them to find new and more efficient ways of going about their business. This is perhaps the element that the "Spark" name captures least well. It is therefore the element we have tried to emphasise through our graphic design choices.

The final concept we wanted to communicate was our desire to make and sustain long-term relationships. In a petrol engine the spark ignites the right mixture of petrol and air. It is a small, constant and essential part of the process. We relish working alongside our clients over the long-term and being accountable for the results we achieve. We do help businesses on a 'one-off' basis but prefer to watch our work have an impact and our client businesses grow.

Spark brings together various disciplines and provides the vital "bit extra" that will drive our client's businesses forward.
